Soca - guide
Code: 104401Product detailed description
- The Soca is one of the few remaining semi-natural rivers in the European Alps. It rises in the heart of the Julian Alps in Slovenia and flows towards the Mediterranean Sea with its incomparably clear water. For years it has been one of the most popular waters for kayakers and canoeists, because the Soca guarantees pure enjoyment! In addition to the many kilometres of paddling in all levels of difficulty, the Soca Valley attracts many sporting alternatives, good food and a relaxed South Alpine atmosphere. Author Manuel Arnu has been kayaking for over 20 years and has been on board a camera since the beginning. The first pictures of the kayak were taken with an old Voigtlander, today there is a digital SLR camera on board. Manuel Arnu is one of the most famous canoe photographers, he was a member of the German national freestyle team and participated in many first river races in Europe, Asia and South America.
